Real reviews from happy families
My 6-year-old has asthma and the old compressor nebulizer we had was SO LOUD he would literally run away and hide under his bed when he heard me getting it out. I'm not exaggerating - treatment time was a full-on battle every single time, and it broke my heart seeing him so scared. We tried everything - bribing with screen time, sticker charts, you name it. Nothing worked because that machine sounded like a lawn mower and he was terrified of it. I was skeptical about Calora but oh my god, GAME CHANGER. It's so quiet he doesn't even realize it's on. Now he sits still during treatments while watching his iPad, no drama, no tears. Worth every penny.
Giving this 2 stars ONLY because the box arrived pretty banged up - the shipping box was crushed on one corner and I was worried the nebulizer would be broken. The Calora box inside had dents too which was disappointing for the price. HOWEVER, the nebulizer itself works perfectly fine! I tested it right away and everything functions exactly as it should. It's way quieter than our old bulky one and my daughter doesn't freak out anymore during treatments. I'm keeping it because it does the job, but Calora needs better packaging. If based purely on the product, I'd give 5 stars. Just check your box when it arrives.
Originally bought this for my 2-year-old who gets constant colds from daycare (if you know, you know 😭). Plot twist - I ended up using it just as much! I have chronic sinusitis and my ENT recommended saline treatments. We share this one and it works perfectly for both of us. The kid mask fits her tiny face without leaking, and the adult attachment is comfortable for me. It's rechargeable so I keep it on my nightstand and don't fumble for outlets at bedtime. The portability is amazing - we took it to Florida last month and when she got sick on day 2, I just threw it in the diaper bag. Can't go back to those giant pharmacy nebulizers!
My 4-month-old had RSV and watching him struggle to breathe at night was terrifying. Pediatrician recommended saline treatments so I tried those cheap bulb suckers first - total waste of money. Then a steam humidifier - also useless. I was desperate so I ordered Calora even though I worried it'd be too strong for a tiny baby. The relief was IMMEDIATE. After the first treatment he could breathe through his nose and slept 4 hours straight for the first time in a week. It's so gentle and quiet I can do treatments while he's drowsy without fully waking him. Best baby purchase hands down.
We had a CVS compressor nebulizer for 3 years because my son has seasonal allergies. That thing was a nightmare - 10 different pieces, took up half the counter, tubing always tangled, and LOUD. I was sick of lugging it to my ex's house every other weekend for custody exchanges. Calora is literally the size of a soda can, fits in my purse, and my son can use it in the car if needed. Setup is so simple even my ex figured it out without calling me (miracle). Cleaning is WAY easier - just a quick rinse instead of disinfecting 47 tubes. Would 100% recommend to any parent.
Our old compressor had 10 pieces, tangled tubing, and was loud as hell - I was over it. This fits in my purse, my ex can actually figure it out without calling me, and cleaning takes 30 seconds instead of forever.
